Dr. Jared Mendelsohn provides psychiatric care for children, adolescents, and adults in Hollywood, Florida, with appointments available in person and via telepsychiatry when appropriate.

New Patient Evaluations
New patients begin with a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation. Please provide your name, telephone number, and several days and times when you are available.
Dr. Mendelsohn may contact you before scheduling to briefly discuss your needs and determine the appropriate type of appointment.
Comprehensive evaluations may require more than one session depending on the complexity of the clinical situation and whether review of medical records, laboratory results, imaging, or information from other treating professionals is necessary.
Fees
Initial Psychiatric Evaluation: $500 per hour
Initial evaluations begin with a minimum of 90 minutes. Additional time may be required depending on the complexity of the evaluation.
Medication Management / Psychotherapy — 30 minutes: $285
Medication Management / Psychotherapy — 45 minutes: $425
Medication Management / Psychotherapy — 60 minutes: $500
Appointments extending beyond 60 minutes: Additional time is billed proportionally based on the $500 hourly rate.
Telephone consultations that require substantial clinical time may also be billed proportionally. Routine scheduling matters and brief medication-related questions generally do not incur an additional fee.
Follow-Up Appointments
Existing patients may request a follow-up appointment by calling the office and providing their name, telephone number, and several preferred appointment dates and times.
If your request is time-sensitive, please mention this when leaving your message.
Insurance and Out-of-Network Benefits
Dr. Mendelsohn is an out-of-network psychiatrist and does not participate directly with insurance plans.
Patients pay for services directly and may receive documentation containing the information needed to submit a claim to their insurance company for possible out-of-network reimbursement.
Reimbursement varies by insurance plan. Patients should contact their insurance provider directly to determine their individual out-of-network mental health benefits, deductible, and reimbursement policies.
